i believe there are some crimes so heinous that you do indeed surrender you humanity when you commit them. the malice and intent needed are so strong that no amount of rehabilitation will help the mental attitude of such disturbed creatures. and our tax dollars should not support the effort.
however, his point about practicality sticks more with me. the people that really end up in the chair, in the cells waiting, are those that are disadvantaged, and this is a problem.
